Kubilo SMS ProgramFull Opt-In Walkthrough
This page demonstrates, step by step, how a customer consents to receive text messages when placing a delivery order by phone through Kubilo's AI ordering assistant. All names, amounts, and phone numbers below are fictional examples.
1The customer calls the restaurant.
The customer dials the restaurant's ordering phone line and places a delivery order with our AI ordering assistant.

2Verbal consent is collected.
Before any text message is sent, the assistant asks:
AI: “I'll text a secure payment link to this number to complete your delivery order. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP anytime to opt out or HELP for help. Is that okay?”
Customer: “Yes, that's fine.”
A message is sent only after an explicit verbal “yes”. The consent is captured on the recorded call and logged with a timestamp. Listen to a simulated example of this moment:

AI:“Great — your order comes to forty-two seventy-five, including delivery and tip.”
AI:“I'll text a secure payment link to this number to complete your delivery order. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP anytime to opt out or HELP for help. Is that okay?”
Customer: “Yes, that's fine.”
AI:“Perfect — the link is on its way. Your order will start as soon as payment is confirmed.”
3The consent is logged in our system with a timestamp.
The moment the customer says yes and the order is submitted, our system stamps a consent timestamp on the order record, tied to the customer's phone number — alongside the call recording kept by our telephony provider. Without this record, no message can be sent: the server rejects any delivery order submitted without reported consent. A simulated example of the stored record:

4The customer receives the payment link.
The link is sent only to the number the customer is calling from — no other number is ever texted.

5The customer can opt out at any time.
Replying STOP immediately stops all messages. Replying HELP returns assistance information.
Messages are strictly transactional (payment link, unpaid-order reminder, payment receipt, refund notification). No marketing messages are ever sent. Up to 4 messages per order. Message and data rates may apply.
